On March 17, the Lei Jun Education Fund review meeting was held in Conference Room A220 of the School of Mathematics and Statistics.

The selection process for this fund was divided into two funding categories: overseas academic exchange and overseas academic conferences. The fund selection committee comprised five experts from the Department of Fundamental Mathematics, Department of Applied Mathematics, Department of Information and Computing Science, and Department of Probability and Statistics. Following applicants' PowerPoint presentations, defense sessions, and expert deliberation, five doctoral students, including Wang Danlu, received funding for overseas academic exchange, and seven doctoral students, including Hao Zhen, were granted funding for overseas academic conferences.

It is reported that the Lei Jun Education Fund will support five students for overseas academic visits and ten students for participation in overseas academic conferences annually. This initiative aims to encourage students in the school to actively engage in international academic exchanges, helping them broaden their global perspectives and enhance their academic research capabilities. The school attached great importance to this selection process, strictly adhering to the relevant review standards and procedures, and upholding the principles of fairness, justice, and transparency. This measure will significantly promote the cultivation of top-notch talents in mathematics at our university.
